Watching Kendall grow and learn these last several weeks has been such a joy and such a blessing. She has sure changed a lot already. Kendall smiles when you smile at her or sometimes when she hears my voice. It is so wonderful to know that she is recognizing loved ones.

As you can tell by the pic our family has grown by +1 since my last blog. Our beautiful Kendall Tamra Clement was born Sept 21,2010 weighing 6 lbs 15 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. She is growing so fast and has been an amazing blessing to our family. Kendall is now smiling, laughing, and cooing. Coralynn just loves being a big sister and many times can't get enough of her, just like Mommy and Daddy. Currently we are still on maternity/paternity leave and enjoying it. We will both return to work on Dec 14. We are looking forward to the holidays and all the joy it brings into our lives. I think the best part of the holidays is spending quality time with loved ones. Now that I'm getting a little more with the times I'm sure I'll have much more to say in the near future.

1/19/10

Today I had the day off. I got up and took Coralynn to Crystal’s house and came home and went back to bed til NOON. In the recent past I have been having several pregnancy symptoms but didn’t want to count my chickens before they hatch. Courtney had bought a pregnancy test one day when he was at the store but I had been reluctant to take it yet just wanting to make sure if I was pregnant it was going to be fore sure, not a guess game. When I finally got my booty out of bed I went into the family room and asked Elise if I should take the test. She of course very excitedly said “YES!” So we pulled out the test and read the instructions and I went and did it. As soon as the test started to register the answer yes positive, I couldn’t believe it. Since the result was so fast I was skeptical, excited but skeptical. As we were talking I said “how am I going to break the news to Courtney? I don’t want it to have anything to do with the pee stick.” So many people use that as a way of telling their spouse they are pregnant but personally I feel it is disgusting. About a week or two previous Courtney had read something online about how to achieve “Baby BINGO” so since I love decorating cakes we decided I would make a cake that said “Baby BINGO”. So we ran to Walgreens for another test and a cake mix. As always turns up the case Walgreens didn’t have cake mixes so we ended up at Walmart. We grabbed a two pack of pregnancy tests, a cake mix, some more frosting, a few other things, and headed out. As soon as we got home I took the other test. That test was just as positive as the first, it was official. So I baked up the cake and started letting it cool. We decided for dinner we would have home made tacos. We made the list of things we didn’t have and headed out to grab them before we had to pick up Cora from tutoring after school. When we got back I got to work on the cake. After the cake was decorated I was cleaning up some dishes and Courtney came home. I said “Honey, I baked you a cake”. He looked at it and said, “Why does it say Baby BINGO on it?” I said, “Because the tests said yes”. Courtney turned around with the biggest smile on his face that I had ever seen! He gave me a huge hug. We made and ate our tacos that were so yummy. All night Courtney couldn’t stop talking about the baby. We decided to hold off on telling the people that were going to make sure the whole world knew since I was only about 3 weeks along. In time all will know.
